Kirby is undertaking a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of New South Wales. He is a proud Biripi man and is using his studies to give back to his community. In 2019, he was awarded the Dixon Family Law Prize for excellence in academia and community involvement.
Prior to joining Chalk & Behrendt in 2019, Kirby worked as an intern at large commercial law firms, Allens and Herbert Smith Freehills where he focused on issues pertaining to banking and finance. Most recently, he was employed as an Indigenous Cadet within Legal Aid NSW where he was involved in assisting Indigenous clients with their legal issues.
