
Amelia van Ewijk
Amelia joined the firm as a graduate before being admitted as a lawyer in 2020. She works with our senior team to assist Aboriginal organisations to realise their aspirations, pursue opportunities, and maintain robust organisations. Amelia predominately acts for local Aboriginal land councils, native title prescribed bodies corporate, and other Aboriginal-owned corporations. She practices in the areas of corporate governance and compliance, Aboriginal heritage, land dealings, environment and planning law, commercial transactions and native title agreements.
Before joining Chalk & Behrendt, Amelia gained invaluable experience as the tipstaff to the Hon Justice Rachel Pepper of the Land and Environment Court of New South Wales. Amelia has also worked for a large consultancy firm as an environmental planner.
